It’s been over a year since I had the interview with artist/producer Big Gov on the podcast titled “Big Talk with Big Gov” which was one of my most viewed for the website, it’s now 2023 and new music, production and relocation for the Detroit native. During the past year Gov been more focus on his branding and putting on a good marketing for what is to come for Big Gov’s new album which is set to be release in 2024. Most importantly he did move to Austin, TX and was said he needed change but Detroit will always be home.

For the past few months; the rapper/producer have been dropping few hints of what is to come for the “Son of Southwest 2” album on his social media, there is singles in the works titled “Put Tha G In It” and “The OG, The CEO” which is a banger that gives it an old school feel. Not only we are looking forward to the new album; he is setting up a new team and marketing that will set more high aspect for the brand. I am excited to see what is to come for Big Gov, music, producing, podcasting, acting, label and marketing for the clothing line “Speak No Evil”. And let’s not forget “Love In Tha Hood” charity he owns which help feed, clothed many low-income families within the city he is from and many more other inner cities to come. Let me just say; Gov is a hard worker and manage to work full time, fatherhood and still keeping love for music as focus. Big Gov deserves the recognition in Hip-Hop not just only in the Hip-Hop community but also need to be credited for being one of the hottest MC from Detroit, his name alone speaks for itself.

So in May 2024, new music is heading to all streaming services and more to come from Big Gov. Son of Southwest 2 the album has been a long time waiting and more interviews to come. Looking forward to a big new year and big blessings for Big Gov.
